Pyle 800 Watt Powered 12" Two-Way Plastic Molded Loudspeaker Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This powered speaker has its definate pluses: It's light and perfect for the acoustic player who likes to get in and out of the gig without the need for an appointment with the Chiropractor the next day.
More importantly, its dynamic quality is also suited for the acoustic performer, as it really embellishes the "nicer" tones of the acoustic/electric guitar, and is ideal for vocals, having great lower and higher mid response. High freq. response is also very good. Lows (around 70-60 Hz) can get a little "dicey" or muddy though.
Cons: The front grill seems to vibrate to certain low freq.s (very annoying, still working on it, and don't know if it's only on my unit or a flaw of design). If you're in a full rock band,like I am, it can be used as a monitor. However, it didn't seem to cut it with enough volume.
Overall, very good sound for mains for a duo or single act. Price is unbeatable, and size and weight is very managable.

(More customer reviews)I bought a pair of these to install in the sub cabs that I reviewed on another post.
I bough them directly from the company several months ago, I gotta tell you, at the price I paid these woofers (119 bucks hello) surpassed my expectations in build quality and in the quality of materials, this isn't just some cheap woofer speaker this is a professional audio sub woofer that will rock the bottom end of your world yes, I would recommend these woofers to anybody who needs some woofers with these spec's anytime, I'd purchase more from Seismic in a heartbeat if I needed them.. did I mention that these guys also have a free shipping policy on about everything they sell? It's not cheap to ship a 20 - 30 pound swoofer so add another 20 - 30 dollar benefit in with dealing with these folks.. I'll also take this opportunity to commend these folks for their professionalism, if you call them somebody actually answers the phone! imagine that! Pyle-Pro - 600 Watt 10'' 2-Way Plastic Molded Powered PA speaker System Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Bought one speaker PPHP1098A from Amazon/The Price Pros and it works excellent. For the value of what I paid for this item and shipping charges, its worth getting this speaker. In the picture they show Grey molded plastic but actually is black glossy. 10" Speaker versus 15" , easier to carry around.
Hooked up speaker right out of the box and maxed it out as loud as it could get, sounds great at high volume. Also you need Male XLR cables which are easy to hook up to this speaker.
All the features include
* 10''Subwoofer - Master Volume, Bass & Treble Control - 35mm Speaker Stand Mount
* 1'' Titanium Compression Driver - Output: 600 Watts Peak/ 300 RMS - Power: AC 115 - 220 Voltage Selectable
* XLR Mic Input - Frequency Response: 45Hz-20Khz - Dimensions: 15.7''W X 14.6''D X 21.3''H
* XLR & Stereo RCA Line Input - Metal Grill to protect the woofer / Plastic Cabinet
* XLR Line Output - Crossover Frequency: 3.0Khz
also it doesn't mention here that it has a built in L.E.D. light for over heating purposes.
for DJ's on a budget, I would recommend buying this brand because JBL & Mackie brands are more expensive. also easy to carry around from gig to gig.
So if your on a fixed budget,Please try these Speakers.
Will use this brand till something else comes along.

MA Audio PA380X Pair 600W 8" 3-Way Pro PA DJ Studio Monitor Speakers Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)For the price they are very cute.
I've been designing and making speaker cabinets with Pro-audio components since the late 60's.
As an Engineer I expect technical specs to always be accurate if they bother to place them.
The Woofer has a 1" voice coil not 2" as claimed by the distributor.
Next to P-audio speakers of 99 DB/watt sensitivity, these are dwarfed.
Next to a 20year old home Marantz 90DB/Watt, they sound harsh and about the same level.
The only crossover component is 1 capacitor on the midrange, no lowpass except
the voice coil's inductance for the woofer. NOT Pro audio!
Just correct the specs, I'll stop my complaints. Verify the magnet's weight too.

Marathon Ent-15p Active 15-inch 2-Way Abs Loudspeaker Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Ok this is what i can honestly say about these speakers, first the price is very affordable and the sound is actually very clear. these are not as loud as some of the
more expensive JBL, EV, etc. but for the money they are a great bang for the buck. now one thing i can tell you is that they are not for a party that will have more than 200 people indoors and even less outdoors. Now what they do do well is very clear sound and with a pair of subs you can get them to play louder. I've been using them for a wile now and they have not let me down. i will be buying another pair to daisy chain them all for larger venues

Mackie Thump TH-15A 2-Way Powered Loudspeaker (Single Speaker) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)These speakers are clean, clear powerful. Very tight and clean bass (no low end "mud". The speakers have a very useable eq section. They have low impedence in and outs that make joining two or more of these (or other active speakers) as easy as plugging in another low impedence mic cable and going to another speaker. This keeps the signal clean and you don't need to utilize additional outputs on your mixer.
The sound is great. I have owned a pair of Behringer (B212) active speakers and a JBL 15 inch speaker in a cabinet driven by a QSC amp for a few years and have generally been pleased with the sound but I was looking for more natural, punchier low end (and I hate lugging the very heavy QSC amp). These Mackie speakers have the sound I was looking for and are actually lighter than my smaller Behringer speakers. I am now useing the Behringers on stands with the Mackies on the floor (I leave the QSC and JBL cab home). It is a very big sound.
Note: After I bought one of these to try, I had trouble getting a second one. Everbody I contacted from Musicinsfriend, Sweetwater and Guitar Center, were all out out of stock and waiting for backorders. Don't be surprised if you hear this when buying these. They are currently a very in demand item. The price on these does not vary much and $350.00 is the going price across the board.

Patron PSA2000P 1200W Max, 12-Inch DJ Speaker with Built-in Amplifier and 5-Band EQ Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I got the product. While testing it with low volume and ran it for less then an hour. The amplifier gave up making a high pitch sould. The product is not recommended at all. I am glad that I tested it before putting it in production. I rate this product very low.
