i am a working DJ, trust me dont buy it twice, spend the money to get the goods. pass on this amp
i bought the PV IPR-1600 to replace the TP LZ-4100

PYLE PZR6XA 2200 Watt Professional DJ Power Amplifier Review

Pyle boasts this amplifier as having "1100 watts X 2 channels" or total power of 2200 watts. If you read the user manual (the only place I could find detailed specifications not in any advertisement)as they do with most of their products. The true rms output of this amplifier is 130 watts @ 4 ohms and 100 watts @ 8 ohms. The advertised output of 1100 watts is misleading and deceptive in my opinion. I am very disappointed in the very poor output level from this amplifier. I also had trouble with the rack mounting holes being about 1/16 inch too close together and had to angle and almost crossthread the screws to install it. The fan is much noisier than my Behringer ep2500 amp (which by the way is advertised as 2400 watts and has an 8 ohm rms power output of 350 watts)I just don't understand where Pyle gets it's "2200" watt rating from this amp. Anyone need a cheap boat anchor?

If you're looking for a simple stereo amp that can power a nice set of loudspeakers, this is the one.
One con is that the fans are pretty loud and seem to always be in overdrive. The fans should only kick in when the amp is putting out a lot of power and the fans are on even when there is no sound going through it at all.

Lets see...For practicing at home, this amp is all I could ask for. Plenty loud, can use all my foot peddals thru it fine. it sounds great, and it's light. However do not try to run a microphone thru it, because I can't get enough volume from the mic to even hear it! I assume that may simply be because of a high z/low z thing tho. You would probably be ok if you put the mic thru a preamp first. All in all I still say the amp is great!

Not a bad speaker for the money. Cabinet is nice with the carpet. Has two side carry handles. Not too heavy. Bass is good. For what I paid for it, it is pretty good.

I have been a DJ/KJ for over 23 years,I wanted to get a new Amplifier to back up my old one(Sampson s8).I got the pyle pro pzr30xa.Big mistake. Its rated 4400 watts which is a joke since it barely will cover a 30x30 room. There is hardly any bass tones. The pa works fine but not at high volume.I got it because the price seemed excellent, should have waited and got another sampson or peavy.I mean really,I get more quality sound out of my sony stereo in my house.

Pyle PTA3000 3000W Professional Power Amplifier Review

Pyle PTA3000 3000W Professional Power Amplifier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you are expecting to buy something of the quality of a crest, crown, or bgw. This amp is not really for you. This amp compared with other knock offs is quite nice. Yes the back panel looks a little cheap. This is not a touring amp. It will make a nice stationary amp. If you are a weekend warrior, treat your equipment nicely, and or are doing a fixed install this is the amp for you.
I am using two or these amps for live sound at the moment. I think they are far better suited to DJ-ing and music playing which I also do. I am not a sound pro. I am a stage hand who does small level sound often enough. I am a sound enthusiast. I do not label things based on brands but on results.
This amp is a good bit lighter then my older crest cpx 900 and 1500 crest clones. I have also owned a real crest cpx 900. So I can compare this throughly.
This one has a thinner sheet metal case then the older versions and the legitimate crest version. It has smaller heat sinks and smaller transformer. It still preforms though. It also is a fair bit lighter due to everything being smaller. Hence I say this is more a install and like useage amp then a heavy peavey or beefy qsc ( I have owned both of those as well)
I do not get where pyle pro comes out with the 3000 watt claim. The giant head room blah blah blah. I would say its fair give this amp a legit power rating of 900-1200 watts ( comparing to other amps). This amp will lay down 150-200 watts at 8 ohms not questioned asked. It probably does more but I was not trying to run it to clip. It runns easily in 4 ohms and I have yet to try 2 ohms. The possiblity is nice is you need to daisy chain speakers and run them at a lower level. Lots of monitors or something.
This amp has enough juice to run my 15 inch subs, at 4 ohms and make a nice thump. It is a 33 by 100 room.
I also tried these out on a set of JBL eon 1500 passive 15 inch mains. They worked nicely.
Right now I have one running my small 8 inch monitors. Again the amp is working well.
The cross over on the back is a dream. I love that you can link the amps with no other hardware. You can configure them in bridged mono, mono signal to stereo out. etc etc. It is a very versatile amp. I heard no distortion yet in the audio thus far.
I can also say I am happy with these do the price I got them at. I would say 196 free shipping is a fair price. I would wait and look for something more like 175-150 to be really happy at what you get. It is worth the 200 but it just feels so much better to know you got it at a really good price.
Also I hear that pylepro has some quality check issues. Well thing can get botched in shipping. I must either be lucky or I know to buy from quality stores who pack things well. Accidents do happen though. Just return it and try again.
I am a person who runs tri and bi amped systems. If I were running a passive cross over set up I would probably opt for a simpler amp with more raw power. Being that I run a more modern system is why again I chose this amp.
Over all and thus far I am very pleased. I may even get some more pictures of it up.

I purchased one of these amplifiers for a band to drive 2x15" 4-ohm speakers cabinets. I thought with the stated rating of 700w@4 ohms that they should have enough power to drive the cabinets with no problem. When I received the amp and hooked it up, I found that it had little/no output (my 100 watt reference amp was louder) from the 1/4" output and there was no output at all from the speakon outputs. I checked the amp with 2 different sets of 8-ohm speakers (behringer and peavey), different cables, and received the same results. Either I received a defective amp (likely) OR the manufacturer has GROSSLY overstated the ratings of the amp, in which case you would be much better off to buy another name-brand amp in lieu of this item.

The Marathon DJ 6000 runs cool which is the only thing I like about the unit other than the fact it is very light at 15 lbs which is the big attraction that drew me to the unit other than the low price . Sound like a positive review . However , the 900 watts a channel the unit is rated by Marathon is not RMS so when I hooked it up the amplifier was categorically weak compared to the other 3 amps I own which I have used to power the same speakers which are the Carver TFM 25 which is 175 watts x 2 , the Peavey 1200 which is 280 wats per channel , and the Samson SX 3200 which is rated at 750 watts per side . It will not do to run my system like I intended when I bought the power amp so it will have to be coupled with 1 of my other amps to deliver the sound pressure necessary for the mobile shows that I DJ . Would guess the Marathon DJ 6000 maxes out at maybe 150 watts RMS at the most per side , and that I should have bought 2 of these units to power my moderate Pyle towers to create the proper sound pressure for shows. Would not have purchased the Samson SX 3200 had the Peavy CS 1200 not been seriously over inflating the power output claims . Thought the very heavey old technology dinosaur would pump out 600 watts per side which would have ran my dual 18 sub just fine . Imagine my surprise when I looked at the owner's manual which Peavey admitted the CS 1200 only put out 280 watts RMS each channel . My advise to consumers is to call the manufacturer ,and keep after them until 1 of their tech people responds by email or by phone to give the actual ratings of whatever product you are interested in buying so you know its true capabilities before you execute a purchase .

I bought this amp casue I was in a pinch I needed to power my mid range cabs and My crown Died. So I bought it had it overnighted and was impressed. I wouldn't run subs or anything as it peaks to easily.
its kinda misleading saying 1000watts , that bridge at 4 ohm
500 @ 4 ohm per side
250 @ 8 ojm, perside
take the bad with the good, also I recommned usuing speakeon cable as the twisty plugs suck

I bought these tweets for a low cost solution to blow tweeters in my small pa. these tweeters are rated on the box for 200 watts RMS 400 peak, but blew instantly when a 150 watt high end signal applied to them.
even with 30 ohm resister as the package suggests.

After thorough research on multiple websites I determined that the Behringer EPX200 was the right amp for my situation. The applied situation for this amplifier is for a fraternity house sound system. So, I emphasize the word rugged in the title, haha. It's been almost a month now and this amp is put through its paces multiple times throughout the week. It's powering two Nady 500 watt speakers and they sound great. This amp puts out plenty of power, and the limiter switch on the back is great because it keeps people from doing harm to the amp or the speakers who don't know how to use it. Seriously, even in a large room, this amp pumps out the sound.

Gemini DJ MRC-6 DJ Mixer Case Review

To make a complete sysytem, this holds all i need in one small (heavy) package. Laptop stand on the back, DMX controller, 4u mixer, 2u CD player all on the top. 2u Amp, 2u CD player base, and a power outlet 1u rack fit in front with room to store stuff like cords. The handles support a lot of weight, and the corners are protective. The front and rear cover stay on with Velcrow, but are tight. The lid is low profile and had a cheap clip style latch that comes open. I prefer butterfly latches. Everything fits well inside and lines up well. It was good for the price.

MA Audio PA380X Pair 600W 8" 3-Way Pro PA DJ Studio Monitor Speakers Review

MA Audio PA380X Pair 600W 8 3-Way Pro PA DJ Studio Monitor Speakers
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
For the price they are very cute.
I've been designing and making speaker cabinets with Pro-audio components since the late 60's.
As an Engineer I expect technical specs to always be accurate if they bother to place them.
The Woofer has a 1" voice coil not 2" as claimed by the distributor.
Next to P-audio speakers of 99 DB/watt sensitivity, these are dwarfed.
Next to a 20year old home Marantz 90DB/Watt, they sound harsh and about the same level.
The only crossover component is 1 capacitor on the midrange, no lowpass except
the voice coil's inductance for the woofer. NOT Pro audio!
Just correct the specs, I'll stop my complaints. Verify the magnet's weight too.
