(More customer reviews)as other people said here and as most people know, Kontakt is an amazing instrument. With bad customer support. I especially like version 3, it has a neater interface and the sounds and possibilities are so many. However, customer support is very bad, I was installing the libraries by directly coping them on the HD, and I could not get Kontakt to load the sounds even though it located all the libraries. Customer support blowed me off by simply saying that they don't offer support unless I install with the installer. Which basically meant I had wasted many hours away and I had to install everything from scratch. What they said would make sense, were it not for the fact that with a 33 gb library, they should do a better job and allow for the libraries to be copied directly onto the HD without all this dumb installer business. What's the problem with that? None, the customer would save a lot of time and be able to install the libraries a bit at a time and however he think fit. Eastwest libraries allow the user to do just that,and it's a far easier and simple process.
Writing many times to Native Instruments customer support was just useless, the only time they care to save is theirs, not yours.

Pioneer DDJ-T1 DJ Controller for Traktor Pioneer Edition Review

(More customer reviews)So for a long time I've wished to learn how to mix and use Traktor. I choose this software because I have a large group of friends that use it professionally to help me. I have to say the ease of setting this up and diving right in with learning has impressed me a great deal. The equipment feels solid and I love that the decks have a layout similar to the Pioneer CDJ products. So far I've been having fun and I feel that this equipment will last me a good while. I can't speak for anyone with lots of DJ experience but coming from a total novice, I highly recommend this.
I will say though that so far I have found myself wishing the version of Traktor that shipped with it had come with more effects, but this may be addressed in an update in April. Other than that, kill switches on the mixer would of been nice, but not necessary for me.

(More customer reviews)If you already own the Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol X1 Performance DJ Controller or planning to buy one, then you should consider this bag aswell. It's a great bag to store your controller and keep it safe from dust and accidental spills. Also it's well padded so it can survive a drop or objects dropping on it. And you can also flip the top cover, insert it in the gig bag, and then place the Kontrol X1 on top of it, which will raise the controller to mixer level. This is actually a very nice and handy feature, it allows for easier access to your Kontrol X1 while you mix.
I would highly recommend this item to any Kontrol X1 owner.

Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S4 Review

(More customer reviews)I know the S4 wont appeal to everyone and there are other probably just as good or better (in some peoples opinion)4 deck controllers out there, but for me this controller fits what I do 100%. I'm not a scratch DJ or turntablist and if you are, this device probably isn't for you... but that's not what this is for anyway.
I play House, Electro, Trance & Chilled, been DJ'ing for over 20 years and been through the whole Technics 1210 & CDJ phase too. For me, digital DJ'ing is the way forward and something I learnt very early on, less than 1% of your audience care what kit you are using, the fact that I'm not pulling records out of a case they don't care. They just want to dance and have a good time.
The layout of the S4 is very intuitive, I like the way the jog wheels are placed towards the back of the deck, I don't catch them with my hand or arm like I used to on the VCI-100 (which this has replaced)
The deck is quite big, but I like that. The knobs and faders are spaced out well with the knobs being quite tall. In a low light DJ booth I've found it very easy to use. I made a plinth for the S4 to sit on, over the top of the Technics 1210's in the booth as space is often limited.
I've played 4 live gigs with the S4 now and it's been rock solid. Having the 4 decks easily controlled from the deck is great, no more clicking with the mouse or worrying about the lo-mid-hi settings, it's all there right in front of you.
The deck is lit up very nice & subtle, there are a couple of nice touches like when you are in browse mode the decks that are stopped and are available to load the song into flash gently. It's very quick and easy to operate in the club.
The hardware and new S4 software integrate very well. I cant fault it yet. Anyone who is used to Traktor will find this very easy and even if you aren't, it's not difficult to pickup.
The ability to load and play samples into the decks works really well too, quite a few times now I've layered a House drumbeat over the top of one of the decks, while doing a transition and it's really smooth.
The integrated soundcard hasn't given me any problems, it's certainly loud enough for the clubs I play in. (and they aren't quiet)
There's still lots of things I haven't learnt about it yet, but in the 2 weeks I've had it. I'm impressed.
No, it's not cheap and it would have been nice if they had included a carry case in the price, but there you go. I can do things on this that someone with CDJ's would struggle to do and they would spend more money trying to do it for sure.
For what it worth, there's my 2p worth.

(More customer reviews)Audio Kontrol 1 is an elegant piece of hardware -- with physical heft, great software, nice sound quality, and a plethora of inputs (midi in and out, XLR in, and 1/8" in). This isn't for the project studio that relies on recording multiple inputs simultaneously, but not everyone needs that. It also comes with terrific soft synth and amp simulation software. The soft synth organs are excellent and unusual, with wonderful vintage timbres. If you don't have a FireWire input (which has superior throughput), this is the best USB solution I've used that combines midi and audio in a sleek, durable, and attractive package.

VESTAX 1000W Class D Digital 2 Channel Audio Amplifer Review

(More customer reviews)When I received the box it shipped in, I was dumbstruck as to what I was sent. Me being the fool, I hadnt read the dimensions of the VDA. And it was a small amp to say the least. I work at a major Audio company that caters to large events like the Grammy's and the Superbowl. The guys at my shop thought I was swindled out of my money, and that no way would it be able to properly power my speakers. Mind you, that I have a pair of WorxAudio WaveSeries 8A Speakers. Awesome speakers by the way. I took the amp home and put it to the test and it didnt even break a sweat. I DJ electronica music (House,Trance,Tech,Pogressive) and was jammin out to this bad boy.
A cool feature about this amp,is that it already has speakon connections to built right in, no adapters needed. And the Input connections are the nice XLR/TRS combo.
This isnt meant for on the road abuse. If your looking for sumtin with good power, non-rackmount(tabletop), then this is the amp for you.
Next I'm gonna test it on my new JBL VRX918 Sub coming in soon. Cant wait.

(More customer reviews)I made the switch from vinyl to digital and was looking for a high quality hybrid mixer / controller that would allow me to incorporate audio from a variety of sources into my mixes. This controller is probably the best you're going to find. One reviewer I read called it the "swiss army knife" of controllers. I am using it with Traktor Pro 1.2.7 on channels 1 and 2 and my Technics on channels 3 and 4 and couldn't be happier. The build quality is excellent and I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase.

(More customer reviews)Traktor 3.0 is the most complete DJ software in the market. Do what Dj do with analog equipment and even more. Very easy to configure with midi and audio interfaces. Features 4 turntables, digital effects, itunes import compatibility. It plays MP3s as well as straight WAV files from CD. Feature also 4 four different mixers emulations like Allen & Heath Xone, Ecler Nuo, etc... I'm in heaven. I finally abandoned my records and CDs as well as turntables and CD players. The looping features are just amazing. You can jump betweem loops and remixing on the fly with traktor comes alive, even better than traditional DJ equipment. You can create plenty of markers in the song, etc.. If you are thinking to go digital get traktor and avoid scratch boxes like Final Scratch and Serato Live very hard to setup. I use traktor with an audio interface (M-Audio Firewire 410) and analog mixer and it rocks. It works really smooth. If you want to scratch there are midi interfaces that sell for $300. And there more interface to come in the near feature. Also if you are a scratching DJ you can still use a turntable or CD player just for scratching.
Traktor seems to be the only future for Digital DJing.
