(More customer reviews)Just received the mixer case. Fit and finish is good. Not sure why the front of the case has a flap opening similar to CDJ cases. Other than that, the laptop slanted cover top is nice. mixer fits very snug, and we you have the supplied rubber stoppers placed on the bottom as shipped so the mixer fits fine. ample space in the back of the case for wires, cables. very light compared to other brands.

(More customer reviews)I DJ at clubs, cafes, homes and weddings (ie. everywhere). Got the case delivered to my door and saw that the packaging was bigger than I originally thought. After peeling away the cardboard, I got to the case. First thing I noticed was that it looked bigger (and heavier) than my original impression.
Very spacious...everything I had in my smaller carpeted case fit perfectly (and I mean everything). I can already see that air flow (for cooling the CD decks, mixer and wireless microphone receiver) is not going to be an issue because of the large open top-back. I was having a tough time with the wires/cables in my previous smaller case, but that point is now moot. The fact that the spacers on the sides of the case are angled and not flat/horizontal to the ground is a very nice touch....and it included all of the necessary bolts and washers to help install the equipment in the case.
One drawback is that it is kind of heavy, but that's to be expected from a wood/carpeted case. There is no cutout at the bottom to snake through cables and the large opening does show the back of the mixer, but if you take care of your equipment and keep it clean, it shouldn't be an issue - and if you have a 'surround' to hide your equipment/music, then it is no problem at all. I even added some velcro to make it even more organized.
If there were a plastic/lightweight *carpeted* case (I don't want to look like a tech-head with a flight-case - not a good look for wedding DJs), I'd buy it...but the spaciousness, overall look and price are a great deal.

American DJ PC-100A 8 Channel Power Strip with Lighted Toggles Review

(More customer reviews)Bought two of these for my home office. The cost of electricity just when up 38% per kilowatt hour by me. First strip is in an equipment rack controlling network gear like DSL modem, firewall, Enet switches, KVM switch, monitor, speakers. It's worked fine.
The second strip is in my office controlling the desk top PC, 3 printers with print servers, various USB hubs, speakers, monitor and such. A problem has come up when using it with the desk top PC. Using the power strip switch to turn on the PC causes the individual switch to fry. And it's stuck in the ON position with the light illuminated, not a failsafe design.
Happened to two positions on the power strip. Measured the peak and steady state watt draw of the PC, I'm and engineer and have such instruments, and it's way within the power strip specs. Using a different power strip with a switch on the PC has never been a problem, that's what I used before. Removed the laser printer from the power strip just in case.
I'll replace the power strip switches rather than RMA the entire power strip. Internally the wiring and outlets can handle the advertised load but the switches cannot.

8 AC.OUTLETS&SWITCHES,15 Review

(More customer reviews)I'll be pretty quick with this review. This product is pretty self explanatory, and does what it is supposed to. Plug things in to the back, switch them on and off separately from the front.
Now for the bad. For some reason, these do not fit into a standard rack space. The mounting holes are not spaced far enough away(from top to bottom), so you are stuck with only screwing the top in or only screwing the bottom in. I bought 2 of these, and they both have the same issue.
Next problem. Both of the ones that I bought have screwy wiring on some of the outlets/switches. If the switch is off and you plug something in, it powers the light yet when you switch it on the light goes off and yet no power goes to what you have plugged in. Crazy mistake in wiring, very unacceptable even for something this cheap. I experienced this in both units on multiple outlets, and had to take them apart and rewire.
Bottom line, you are better off buying a similar product that costs a little more. If I had these issues on two different units, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had these problems.

American Audio DB Display Rack Mount DB Display Review

(More customer reviews)Great item. Works well. However I can't get past the fact that it is made of plastic. Somehow you spend thousands on a urei, and hundreds on the eq, etc and then you add a plastic led display. I would gladly pay double for a metal one that is accurate.

Marathon MA-M6U Flight Road Case Review

(More customer reviews)I was able to fit my Behringer mixer (with the mountable adapter 'ears'), Crown power amp, power conditioner, and a custom shelf all in this case. The case is sturdy with quality hardware. The 'Marathon' plate is necessary as the slanted mixer will come down into the vertical space and this covers it up as you would loose that space anyways due to the bottom of the mixer. This case is rugged and ready for gigs!

American DJ PC4 Four Channel Power Strip With Lighted Toggle Switches Review

(More customer reviews)Electrical sockets for plugs are mounted in a fairly stupid way. One might expect that this item was built for rack or panel mounting, but it appears to be designed for use while laying on a desk. If you look at Amazon's photo of the item and consider that it is basically a rectangle, the sockets are on the top surface of the rectangle - not on the rear surface parallel to the front. I say that it is "basically a rectangle" because it isn't really - the front surface with the switches on it is actually tilted slightly, with the top surface being higher than the lower one. Again, this would tilt the controls towards the user were the unit laying on a desk. That's well and good, but I have too much junk on my desk already. The mounting holes in the bezel seem more cosmetic than functional.
As for the quality of the item itself, it isn't terrific. The switches aren't mounted straight. The front bezel is made out of fairly small-gauge sheetmetal, and on mine it is actually bent (probably from shipping, there wasn't much padding in the box). But it's $15, so it's not like I was expecting anything terrific.
This is a pretty nice item for the money, but it's not correct for my application. I suspect that goes for a lot of other customers who order it expecting a scaled-down version of American DJ's eight-switch unit. Amazon ought to improve the description or provide pictures showing just how this item is different. It's okay if you want something that sits on a desk, but I don't, and I'll probably be exchanging it for the eight-switch model.
