The DA-B3000 is one top notch CLASS D power amp. Considering it's size and weight, the performance is outstanding. It pumps 300 watts rms per channel @ 8 ohms. I've had it for awhile now and so far it's been flawless. The only disadvantage I can see is it's not bridgeable for running in mono. It is safe however to run the amp without a speaker connected to one channel. This is according to their Tech Support as well as my own experience. Tech Support also told me NOT to run this amp with 4 ohm loads. It's 550 watt per channel power rating is for a 6 ohm load, although I don't know of a practical way to accomplish that. I'm using it as a power amp for my pedal steel guitar (fed by a PODxt as the preamp). It would be great for bass guitar and standard PA applications as well. The price is very reasonable so definitely check this thing out. It will blow you away!

Technical Pro TA-4250 2 Channel 4250 Watt Amplifier (Black) Review

I am not an audiophile or anything of that type. I use a Technical Pro HB-2501U connected to this amp. They power four Cerwin Vega Re-30s. Or attempt to.
I love the ease of set up for TPro products, the appearance, and the technical specs... but their specs are slightly inflated. As most manufacturers do, the wattage is vastly overstated. I would rate this power amp as putting out around 50-60 WPC, instead of the 70-80WPC it was rated at. Ditto for the receiver, but that's a different story.
I roll Cerwin Vegas because I'm looking for loud sound - frat house abuse - and these Re30s are easily up to the task. However, this Tpro amp is not. Honestly, neither is the receiver and in the near future I will be replacing both, leaving me with a couple hundred wasted bucks. Beside the point.
In usage over the last two weeks, I have had several opportunities to stress test the amp. Playing bass heavy music for several hours, four or more each time, at very loud volumes. It started clipping almost immediately once raised past the half-point mark on either channel. In addition, five separate times in the last two weeks one channel has ceased working entirely. After shutting it down for several hours, normal operations were restored and both channels provided power again. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I assume that one channel gets overloaded and resets because of insufficient capacity. I replaced the fuse on the once.
Essentially, what I'm saying is that this speaker provides a decent power output for a mid level-low level application, but if you are attempting to simply boom a party, as I am, this amp will not provide the power, even for one speaker - at least in stereo mode (I have yet to test it in bridge mode, because I need to buy another power amp first). The tech specs for it are vastly overstated. It's okay for the money, but its not what I was looking for and if you are actually looking for something that actually puts out the stated power, look elsewhere. Adcom, King, any other tried and true companies with the huge heavy capacitors... I'd stick to those instead of these. Just my two semi-informed cents from a 23 year old grad student. I do like TPro, but the products I have tested are not up to the challenge. It's unfortunate.
