(More customer reviews)The Odyssey LSTAND is a very innovative product, and I would like to see more like it. Unfortunately, its innovations do not hold up so well in practical terms. The main issue with this stand is that it is unstabled. Since the left, right, top, and bottom of the stand are essentially de-coupled and hence flexible even when fully assembled, it is extremely difficult to get anything but a wobbly stand. I really wanted to like this item, but I do not trust putting anything of value on top of or below it, as it is unstable no matter how much time you spend trying to get it stable. I spent a good hour tweaking the knobs and eventually gave up - either the metal is warped or the design just plain has too much flex for a sturdy fit.

(More customer reviews)After a normal night of djing someone's hib bumped the table all my gear was on. This stand literally shifted and then began to fall apart. I caught it in time but quickly put it right back into my car and left it there to return back to Amazon. It's of a poor build. The metal is weak and bends easily plus the design causes a strange angle on the feet that make the whole thing look flimsy. The real test for a keyboard stand is put your laptop on it, shake the platform or table it's on, if the whole thing shakes, then don't buy it. Sorry Marathon but you can do better. You make awesome cases and gear, this isn't one of them. Better luck next time.

(More customer reviews)Good sturdy unit for the money. The holes do not line up with the Karaoke machine speakers as suggested, but two of the screws can be put in. Like I said it is a sturdy stand. The important thing to consider is the lining up of the holes for your speakers. I have two screws holding my speakers instead of the four that I would like.

(More customer reviews)I was very pleased with the quality of the product and how well it works for what I was wanting it for. (A stand for my drum machine) However, I was also curious about using it for my laptop stand and must report that it wasn't big enough for a secure stand for a 17" laptop. Also, the display image pictured a black stand and I got a white one. In addition, one of the screws was threaded horribly and required additional washers just to make it work. That being said, however, it is an extremely stable and nice looking stand for a small laptop or for small audio hardware. It was also very easy to put together.

Looks professional and adds a nice touch to keep the DJ setup clean and polished. Seems to be of quality and thick metal tray has a finished edge with no rough ends - the tray is not flimsy at all. I like it!

(More customer reviews)I use this stand to place my laptop on location photo shoots with my camera tethered. The sale price made this a good buy. The tripod is sturdy and light. From a perfectionist standpoint I would suggest the following improvements: The table top have a non-skid surface, it be attached with metal rather than plastic clamps, and be removeable from the tripod for transport/storage (it folds flat against the tripod). Never the less, at the sale price it easily rates 4 out of 5 as-is and I do not regret the purchase.

(More customer reviews)This stand is super strong and super portable. At first I thought that I got ripped because I hand to tighten the knobs to death to keep it from caving, but I soon found out there are these slots for the fold-out arms and base to sit it and completely lock. Even if you're going to tilt the arms holding your laptop/hardware downwards, as long as you've locked the base, you're good to go.
I carry this around to do small recording gigs as well as dj gigs. I'm always ending up on the ground, so this is a good way to keep the laptop off the dirty and sometimes carpeted ground.
On my Toshiba Satellite, the volume knob gets blocked by one of the stoppers, but that's only because it's a weird design. I just shift it a little to either the left or right and I'm good.
Set up and take down are very easy. This is a very good product for the mobile whatever.

I was looking for a laptop stand that could hold a laptop above my MIDI keyboard, and which allowed for flexibility in positioning. I don't DJ but the design allows for rapid setup and breakdown. The construction is excellent -- welds are strong and the stand is robust. It's a pricey item but I've did a fair amount of research before purchasing and I'd judge it to be one of the best on the market.

(More customer reviews)The adjustable stand is good if you have a small laptop like a 13, 14 or 15.4" laptop. Anything bigger makes it unstable on the platform. Also, you are not able to use a mouse because there is not room for it on the platform. It is very sturdy, but I believed from the description that the platform itself was adjustable as far as tilt, but it does not.

(More customer reviews)The tripod section seems decently made but the laptop tray has issues. It's not quite as pictured. The gripper arms are not wide enough for even a 15" laptop. Other reviewers mentioned that it held a 17" laptop -- this plus the fact that the photo looks different, leads me to believe that they have changed the design of the tray and arms.
Furthermore the mouse tray was defective -- when trying to slide it out, loose ball bearings fell out. I also see no method for moving the mouse tray to the right/left side, as the product description claims.
This is my second Quik-Lok purchase in the past month or so, and in both cases, the quality is significantly below their historical standard! Outsourcing the manufacturing to China is probably a big factor in this change. I am going to have to investigate other brands. Sad to see another once-reliable brand slipping like this.

(More customer reviews)Ended up returning this. The foam is solid with no cut-outs to hold your cartridges. I guess they want you to take a knife to it to carve out a slot yourself, no thanks. Otherwise it looks like the case would keep your cartridges safe, provided you carve out a slot that'll hold them still without putting too much stress on the needles.

I dj at events and the worst thing a dj wants is his laptop falling from a cheap stand. I thought I would at least give it a try since amazons return policy is pretty good. i got it and couldn't believe the quality of the metal. THIS IS A GOOD LAPTOP STAND. I put my laptop on the stand shook it a lil to make sure my laptop wouldn't fall off. It wasn't moving. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it doesn't fold up or anything. I do not expect it to for the price. So if you don't mind throwing it in your backseat of your car when you go to events then this laptop stand is perfect for the outdoor dj.

When I wrote to the company for a replacement, they made me sound like I was trying to steal parts from them. The small shelf underneath the laptop holder constantly falls no matter how tight you tighten it. I would not buy anything else made or sold by this company. A very big disappointment.
