Chauvet Mirror Ball, 20 inch Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this mirror ball for a Saturday Night Fever party at our yacht club. I also bought the motor, that when attached, makes the ball move slowly in a circle.
This was exactly what I wanted and it was great for the party. Our room was approximately 30' x 50', so this size was perfect. If your room is small, this ball would be too big.
I also separately purchased a cheap clip on lamp with a 75 watt spot at Home Depot to focus on the ball. It is important that you buy a pin spot light or similar or you won't get the effect you want. I found a package which included the ball, motor and pin light for smaller disco balls but I could not find a package for this larger ball.
I would highly recommend this product.

Eliminator Lighting Mirror Balls 12 inch mirror ball Mirror Ball Review

(More customer reviews)After reading the three star review on this ball I wasn't sure what to expect. But one of the sellers had one for a single Andrew Jackson with shipping included. How could I pass that up?
When the ball arrived I was pleasantly surprised. I had just sent back an 8" ADJ kit due to issues with the motor not shutting off, and this ball looks to be as good as that one.
The mirror tiles are very small, (3/8ths inch square) and there are plenty of them. Obviously the more the merrier since the more tiles there are the more spots get thrown to the wall. They were also much more uniform than I expected from the other review.
There is a small self locking nut, and a small cap nut on the end of the threaded dowel that runs through the ball, but I don't see an issue with it since it's so small that I can't imagine how it could be seen when hung on the ceiling. Also, with the weight of the ball, I'd be nervous if there wasn't some sort of positive mechanical stop at the end of the rod to prevent the ball from coming loose at some point. I've posted several pics from several angles so you can decide for yourself as to the quality.
For the $ I'm very happy with it.

12" Disco Mirror Balls Review

(More customer reviews)We ordered this to be the centerpiece of our 'house party' after our wedding reception. I debated whether to order a bigger ball or to go with this size. For our large family room, this ended up being a perfect size. It was also the largest recommended size for the disco ball motor we ordered to 'rotate' the ball.
When it arrived, I was a little bit disappointed to see how large the pieces of mirror were - thinking that more mirrors would have meant more 'dazzling' light shows. But when the lights went down and we turned on the spotlights, this was more than adequate. I also was worried that perhaps a mirror piece or two might have fallen off in transit. But in the end those turned out to be extra pieces that must have been mistakenly attached, as we weren't missing any on the ball itself.
Keep in mind that you will probably want something to rotate the ball - a disco ball motor - and something to shine on the ball. We used two Par 36 spotlights with two different color gel lenses.
The 'disco' in our family room was a huge hit at the house party with guests of all ages.

I haven't received the Vertigo light yet so this video is just of the disco ball! It wasn't easy to put together! Once I realized the top most pole had sunk down into the device it got easier. I pulled it out I was able to get the thing together with the instructions I found online. There is a PDF on the american dj.com website. Search by model. Cheers!

American DJ MB8 Combo 8 Inch Mirror Ball Kit Review

It came quickly and well packed. I had not complaints with the company.
Assembly was easy, just add batteries and attach the ball to the stand. It connects using a cotter pin that just slides on. The stand can be placed on a table or hung from the ceiling (it has a wire half-moon that would connect over a hook attached to the ceiling). The light comes with 4 color covers.
Everything worked out of the box without issues. About the only complaint I have is when changing the color discs, you unscreww the outer plate of the light. I found it takes a few tries to get it screwed back on. You have to line it up just right. Otherwise, excellent product.

It is made in China, has a plastic housing and is 2 RPM with or without a ball hanging on it. It is important to me to use a slow motor so the lights on the floor going around dont make you dizzy. I am returning this one.
