(More customer reviews)I had worked with this light for about a year before I purchased it and I knew it would be the next light I bought. It illuminates a large room brighter better than 2-3 of my old lights combined. There are ednless customizations you can do with the light with a controller but even if you don't do that the premade settings it comes with are quite a light show. The advancement in LED lights for this product has made a large difference in performance, range, and more importantly durability. I was so tired of replacing bulbs in the older models, with LEDS I don't have to worry about that anymore. This is a great light and I save a few bucks buying here than buying from a major music instrument chain.

(More customer reviews)this light is awsome. just a little backgroung on me, im not a DJ just a guy who enjoys music and DJ lighting effects. this light runs very cool due to the LED bulbs and is very energy efficent compaired to other fixtures. the light is very sencitive to music, it does not have to be loud for this light to perform well, for the best effect a fog machine is recomended. the only complaint i have is the motors that turn the mirrors are just a little noisy, but medium volume music hides the noise. in all for the $2.19 I paid for this unit i woulds have been content with a broken unit, but it came new in box and fully functional. and BTW i do mean $2.19, i got this thing for a downright steal. also if you starting a DJ service or just starting a lighting collection dont start here. get some "filler lights" that illuminate the dance floor first, such as can lights or a disco ball. once you have a safe amount of illumination then look at this as an accessory to your already developed light show, due to the directional nature of the light beams this unit will not light a large area however the beams are bright enough to travel a good distance which makes this light ideal for both small and large spaces. BTW id like to thank the seller for hooking me up, at the price they sold it there is no way they turned a proffit unless they got it for free from their vendor.

If you have a 20x20 room with a 10ft ceiling, you'll be very sad with the performance. Lightweight and came in good packaging. No problems to speak of after using for a few months.

You do have to buy an O-Clamp if you want to attach something to the trusses, but you still have 4 spots to attach lights on either side.

(More customer reviews)The lighting effects provided by the American DJ Revo Xpress are amazing considering it's size and weight. I have had a chance to hook it up to my ETC Smartfade and control the lighting via DMX. With fog the beams of light are tantalizing. Only difficulty is getting the light to set and dim in one pattern and color (256 channel mode required for this). There is also no built in power switch. Suggestion is to use a portable circuit breaker power switch. If this doesn't look like enough for you check out the American DJ Fusion Tri FX.

(More customer reviews)Unlike some American DJ products I've bought that were low quality junk, these LED Parcans are made of high quality materials, and have a 3 year warranty. They are solidly made, and the DMX programming is well thought out. There are a few modes of DMX control, including beat detection and master/slave mode. I use the full DMX manual control mode with 6 of these, and all 6 have worked flawlessly. Compared to my old halogen bulb parcans, these are a little heavier. They have a narrow beam, which may or may not be good depending on how you plan to use them.
The only caveat is that all LED parcan's today are not "super" bright. They are moderately bright, and work well in a dark room. They can get washed out if the ambient light is too high. If possible, try to see one to be sure the brightness is what you are expecting. If you decide you want to get LED DMX parcans, these products have worked flawlessly for me.

(More customer reviews)Goodbye Aggressor and Kinta. This is the new King of Derbys. A great light for the fog-restricted, instant response and great sound active programs. Adding the white color is great. Split these wide in a pair and let them take care of everything. Light intensity is on par with the Agressor, which I would say is medium intensity, you will not get much residual wash from this like with the Kinta.
I ordered three, one came not working, the first of any ADJ product I received defective. Another the power connection was unreliable, shorting from the start. Bummed, and had to return them.
And another dismal disclaimer... this unit, unlike so many before it, resets when depowered and does not default into sound active mode (nor into the mode it was depowered in). Major design fail. So if you like to remotely switch your unit's power feed, you will not be able to use this light in sound active mode. When you power it up, it simply does nothing, it requires reselecting the mode and unless you are controlling with DMX or have 10' long arms, you will be required to purchase a UC3 controller.

(More customer reviews)Not the most expensive light by far, but my favorite. LED runs cool and long. The motor that turns the ball (band drive) sounds like, is very quiet. the lights are crisp and create and amazing effect with or without fog! The DMX feature allows me to control brightness, directions, and strobe speed! For slow songs, it simulates a disco ball, creating a classic and romantic atmosphere. When the beat cranks up, the built in sound mode creates unpredictable flashes and movements.
One thing i wish it had was an adjustable bracket to angle once its on a truss or light stand. Its either you put it in the center of the room up high shining down, or have the light shine more the way of looking at a clock, rather than a disko ball. One solution is the American DJ "O" clamp, although it does not cet tight enough to support the starball if you wanted hung horizontally.

Same effect with lots of different colors at a fraction of the energy costs. I wish it would have been slightly brighter, but it still pulls its weight at this price tag.
