(More customer reviews)I don't claim to know everything about vinyl. I know this though I bought to replace the factory cartridge that came with the TTUSB by ION (Numark) and made many many vinyl rips using an external soundcard (MBox). I know that the TTUSB is a MAJOR weak link in the chain, but this cartridge seriously lacks the clarity and accuracy it boasts. The only comparison I have on the TTUSB are rips made with the factory cartridge, and the factory cartridge although it sounds very thin and harsh, it has way more high end. Compared to my rips made on my brothers Music Hall TT with a Goldring Cartridge, this sounds down right MUDDY. I can remedy this to some degree by turning up the treble on the EQ, but why should I have to? I just don't believe also that the cheap TTUSB is taking all of the clarity out of the Arkiv. The rips I made with this cartridge have become no longer listen-able to me now, so I would not recommend this one. Like I said above though I do not have all the pieces in place to say for sure...
