Behringer HPX2500 High-definition DJ Headphones Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have never heard of the Berhringer brand until seeing its headphones in an Amazon Lightning Deal yesterday. In picture, the HPX2500 looked pretty good for a pair of twenty-something-dollar headphones. Seeing the actual product and using it for sometime, I deem it an excellent headphone for the money. I'll rate its quality at 8.5 out of 10. The headphone jack and cord use a lot heavier gauge materials then the competition. Berhringer is a maker of studio musical equipment. If you would like to know more about it, just Google it. There is a pretty informative article on it in Wikipedia. There is even YouTube videos about its huge factories in China.
You should be aware that because the HPX2500 is NOT a closed-type headphone, there is little to no sound isolation. In other words, if there is some sound in the environment, you will hear it. Conversely, others will be able to hear what you are listening, albeit at much reduced volume. This is called an open-type headphone. IMO, open-type headphones seem to offer better clarity. On the other hand, closed-type may offer more bass. What you listen to most should be the deciding factor in selecting open or closed headphone design.

Gemini DJ vhf-2001hl-s26 Wireless Headset Microphone Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I was pleased with the speed of deliver of this product and its overall performance and construction. I have been using the headsets once a week to assist the dance instructors in one of the programs that I participate at as a volunteer. The sound quality is quite good, clear, loud and the range more than ample for a dance floor with over thirty people in a space roughly 40'x40'. I would give this product a better rating ... however, the last two dance sessions, I have noticed that one of the headsets is experiencing some drop-out. I checked the batteries and even replaced them with new ones but the problem is still there albeit less so. Don't know what may be the cause, whether the product has a defect or could it be due to something else, like rf interference or even placement of the receiver. Both headsets functioned quite well initially so I've got my fingers crossed that the problem is not with the equipment.

Singing Machine SMVG-620 CD+G Karaoke System with Camera and 5.5 TV Monitor Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this as a birthday present for my 7 year old daughter but it was an instant hit with all 4 of my kids. We've had it a couple of days and it's been used almost non-stop! I am Thrilled! It's got a lot of controls on the front, but the kids figured them out quickly, from the camera options to the voice controls, to simply switching it to use as a radio. It's very kid friendly without being a cheap toy. The specs do not say, but I was happy to find that the monitor can show the camera video AND the words at the same time, so the kids can see the words to sing AND themselves singing at the same time which they seem to like best. (The specs suggested it was one or the other.) I love that it's small enough to easily tote to a friends house, or out to the porch for a party, and completely self contained. If you want to hook it to a tv or external speakers you can, but it's not required. The monitor is black and white, but the camera is color so you can have a color picture if you hook it up to the tv. It's a good compromise to keep the cost down. It would be great if it came with 2 microphones, but having just one does keep the initial price lower. It also makes for very cute pictures as the kids squeeze together to share the one microphone! It does have the ports for 2 mikes, so we'll be buying a second one soon!

Peavey PR 15 Neo Enclosure Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I haven't pushed the speaker too hard yet, but so far it has worked fine. It's much lighter than it looks, and it is larger than I expected. Sounds great with the Peavey power amp. I'm actually using it as a guitar speaker along with a VOX pedal to simulate cabinets and amps. I expect to buy the second one before too long. The price was good, but the shipping (to Hawaii) was terrific.
