It does NOT charge my (Nano 4th gen.) iPOD...... I just bought the iCDMIX 2 to use at a collectively run dance. Since we may have many different folks doing the music I wanted a solution that would allow us to use CDs or iPod or other sources. The iCDMIX does that, and I have a few gripes, which may be enough to cause me to return the product. My main concern is that it does NOT charge my iPOD. I a exploring why my iPOD does not charge. I have sent an email to Numark support. I understand that some iPODs do not charge in some docks. There may also be a problem with the scratch/cueing wheel on the unit I received or a design that is hard to use. I put it in the mode to cue up a spot and it is working, moving through the music and then it jumps back to the beginning rather than staying where I am. Maybe the knob is bad, or maybe there is a design reason for the behavior. ??? And I am new to using this sort of thing so it may be I just need to learn more and this takes more practice. The support material is very minimal. I have not found a detailed manual, only some safety warnings and a 3 page quick start guide. This may be fine for some folks but for me more would be appreciated. I read that some iPOD mixers access the iPOD as a drive and allow cueing 2 songs or even writing the set to the iPOD. This does not. The iPOD is on a separate channel without the cue scratch control you get on the CDs. It does give you a nice easy to use replication of the iPODs control wheel so you do not need to touch the iPOD. There is also a nice adjustable position back to support different sized iPODS.
