Pyle-Pro PDBC60 8 Outlet Rack Mount Power Supply Center with Audio dB LED Display (19-inch Rack Mount) Review

Pyle-Pro PDBC60 8 Outlet Rack Mount Power Supply Center with Audio dB LED Display (19-inch Rack Mount)

What this device is:
Rack mountable
Grounded, 8 outlets splitter/supply
LED line signal level display
Stereo signal attenuatorWhat it is not:
a live real-time dB meter. (it has no microphone and no capability to generate a reading for possible sound levels until you connect your signal directly thru the device using its unbalanced RCA connectors. Once connected, the levels are merely a guess.)

Samson SASRK12 SRK12 12 Space Rack Stand Review

Samson SASRK12 SRK12 12 Space Rack Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I needed a rack with wheels to use at home for some recording work I do. Being frustrated at the prices of simple wooden rack boxes/cases I was delighted when I found this unit by Samson.
No, it doesn't have doors/lids that close the front and back for transport, but that's not really what I needed. Besides this thing is heavy enough (it's steel after all) that you wouldn't really want to transport it anyway.
It really is a nice large rack. 18" deep x 20" wide x 27.5" high, with 12 rack spaces. When you put the thing together (it comes with it's own mini screwdriver included, how cool is that?) you have the option of setting it up to use either US or European rack standards and includes rack screws for all the spaces in both standards (the 4 main supports in the case are a sort of "[" shape. On one side are the US threads, on the other side the European ones).
The entire thing is finished with this nice black powder coat that looks like it could take a good bit of abuse, and the top is a very thick and solid surface. I can put my drink or something on it without worrying about spilling something and it ruining the equipment underneath.
There was one problem with the rack though, and it's the ONLY reason it didn't get 5 stars, and that's because some of the screws are near impossible to get in unless you drill out some of the holes.
I think this is because during manufacturing the holes are drilled so the screws will fit perfectly, however the thickness of the powder coat paint results in the holes being just a hair too small for some of the screws.
This is a very easy thing to fix by using a drill with a bit that just barely doesn't fit in the hole. Just go over the hole once, removing the paint and making the hole a tad larger, and the screws will go in no problem. I found this out the hard way by accidentally stripping two screws. Most of the thing goes together VERY easily, and I only notices this problem on the holes located around the lid/top of the case. So if you are putting one together and things get a bit too hard to turn DON'T FORCE IT, you'll just strip the head of the screw.
This is a very minor issue though, and to spite it I would buy another one of these racks in a heart beat if I needed (I really do love it), but I also understand that not everyone may have the tools or ability to address this issue so I thought it was worth mentioning.
Perhaps mine just ran into an over zealous painter during production. It's not a big deal.

8 AC.OUTLETS&SWITCHES,15 Review

8 AC.OUTLETSandSWITCHES,15
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'll be pretty quick with this review. This product is pretty self explanatory, and does what it is supposed to. Plug things in to the back, switch them on and off separately from the front.
Now for the bad. For some reason, these do not fit into a standard rack space. The mounting holes are not spaced far enough away(from top to bottom), so you are stuck with only screwing the top in or only screwing the bottom in. I bought 2 of these, and they both have the same issue.
Next problem. Both of the ones that I bought have screwy wiring on some of the outlets/switches. If the switch is off and you plug something in, it powers the light yet when you switch it on the light goes off and yet no power goes to what you have plugged in. Crazy mistake in wiring, very unacceptable even for something this cheap. I experienced this in both units on multiple outlets, and had to take them apart and rewire.
Bottom line, you are better off buying a similar product that costs a little more. If I had these issues on two different units, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had these problems.

Technical Pro DRW-2U 2U Rack Mountable Drawer (Black) Review

Technical Pro DRW-2U 2U Rack Mountable Drawer (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Unit is functional but I'd only use in an home setting would not put anything of any substantial weight in it (might apply more to the larger 3U or 4U versions from same manufacturer). The drawer glides and and metal are both light duty at best. The chassis had some mild dents/deformations and the front panel on the drawer was bent, apparently just from shipping. There is a large "TECHNICALPRO" logo stamped in the metal on the top of the unit as well as silk screened on the front of the drawer along with the model number (DRW-2U in this case). I think the manufacturer would do better take the cost of this "branding" and sink it into better quality materials. The "features" indicate "removable" rack ears and drawer pull handle. Translation: the unit ships without these attached. I'm having a hard time coming up with a reason you would make rack ears removable on a rack mount drawer so I'm calling this "feature" a cost cutting measure as it allows the unit to be packed in a simple cardboard box that requires no supplemental packing materials. Considering most of the other rack mount drawers of this size are at least 50% more expensive, I can see the appeal of this unit at its price point. I offer this review as information on the differences. Key down points: light gauge metal, low quality drawer glides, some assembly required. Key Up Points: inexpensive and for the most part functional.

Make you a great favor and save your money. This is a great piece of junk. Badly built, holes doesn't match exactly on the components and it came without any instructions to assembly it (even if it was easy). But believe me that this product must disappear from the earth. Very, very bad product.

Odyssey FZ494 Flight Zone Ata Triple Combo Rack: 4u X 9u X 4u Review

Odyssey FZ494 Flight Zone Ata Triple Combo Rack: 4u X 9u X 4u
Average Reviews:

I needed a case for my Behringer 2442 Pro mixer, and this beauty did the job. I removed the rails for the top rack area and mounted the mixer more centered in the case. I did this so the top, rear portion would provide protection for the cables plugged into the top rear of the mixer. There is still plenty of room inside the case for the protrusion of cables at the rear of the mixer.
The case is very sturdy; the handles and latches are solid. The breakaway hinged door in the back allows for easy access. It has nice corner guards and edge rails for protection. There are no casters, just rubber feet. Spring-loaded, dual handles on each side are great for the help you need carrying this when you get it full of equipment!
The case comes with plenty of screws for mounting your rack units. I do not think anyone will be displeased with this product.

Odyssey CRE04 4 Space 17 Deep Carpeted Econo Rack Review

Odyssey CRE04 4 Space 17 Deep Carpeted Econo Rack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I did my homework before buying this rack case, and am glad I did. I originally purchased an SKB 4-space molded rack & was less than impressed w/ the "heavy-duty" twist latches, & I did not care for the bulk of the molded rack case, so I returned it and purchased this rack case instead. I am completely surprised and impressed with the workmanship, appearance, & function of this product. The handle is heavy-duty & the case itself is very sturdy. I like the way the front & rear panels friction-fit perfectly. I did have to relocate the rack rails toward the front of the case to accomodate my Nady XA series power amps, but this was done easily enough. I also added casters to one end of the case as it weighs close to 45 kilos w/ the amps in place, but for the money, I think this is an awesome value, & I am very pleased and definitely recommend this case!

Samson SASRK8 SRK8 8 Space Rack Stand

SRK-8 is exactly twice smaller than the one on the picture, about 16" tall.
The pictured model is currently $219 from the same seller.
I bought this based on the image I saw on this page, now have all the headache with exchanging it.
The seller agreed to take it back, but I have to pay the postage.
