I recently purchased this stand because I have a very heavy keyboard (150+ pounds). The frame is made from heavy duty square tubing, but the entire assembly is not well supported. It feels loose in all directions, and sways left and right as you play.
My previous stand was an X-frame, also heavy duty. The tubing was heavy duty but the lock pin/bolt sheared off from the weight. I'm afraid this stand will eventually shear the connecting bolts on the height adjustment, but maybe not as quickly as the X-frame since there are two bolts (one per side) instead of just one on the X-frame.
The top bar is basically a hinge that rests on edge of the square tubing. At the back is a single bolt for the hinge. It too looks too small for the job and could shear off with enough force. The bottom bar is the same, but it appears to fit better with the vertical pieces.
The workmanship is good - there are no problems with the welding, no areas to rust, good paint, and good quality rubber feet and top pads.
One thing I don't care for is that the top bar is actually angled down. The photo makes it look level, when in fact, it is not a level stand.
Pros: leg room, height adjustment, solid tubing, good welding and workmanship
Cons: Wobbly design (left-right 2-3 inch sway) and risk of bolts shearing from weight
This is adequate for light needs, but next time I would spend the extra money on another brand with higher reviews.
