(More customer reviews)somewhere in the product description i read the word "portable" and assume it may have been taken out because to me "portable" means it would be capable of operating with batteries. well.. it's not. what lead to some more confusion was a review saying they had their unit in the park. Last time i checked electrical outlets were not readily available in the park. so again i figured this could be battery operated. It cannot. You cannot run this with batteries. you will not have that option or choice with this model.
having said that. it's a good unit. i returned mine because i needed one battery operated.
