(More customer reviews)Already have Denon mixer and CD players, and needed a low-cost solution to move to a purely laptop/iTunes setup. The Conectiv works perfectly. It sits between your laptop and DJ equipment, load the control cd's (or 12" vinyls), fire up the Torq software, and all systems are go.
I have a 2007 MacBook, running OSX 10.6.4, and the latest versions of Conectiv driver and Torq software (available for download at m-audio's website) run fine. There are pdf manuals included on the software CD that comes with the bundle, and they cover all the details you may not find while browsing here or on m-audio's site.
I can strongly recommend the hardware at this point. Haven't taken time to fiddle with the Torq software yet, and don't have any experience with alternatives to offer a definitive recommendation other than to say that it works fine for my needs.
