(More customer reviews)I have been pleasantly surprised by my Seismic Audio microphones. I bought two of them at a price too good to pass up, not really knowing what to expect. The mic performs as well as similar models from other leading brands, for less than half the price.
There's a very natural frequency response which lends itself well to the human voice - no artificial "tinniness," percussive pops, or "tunnel-voice."When I scrutinized the cosmetic appearance of the mics, I found a small hairline fracture on the plastic frame around the mesh on 1 of my 2 mics. Since this doesn't affect the performance of the device, and since microphones get nicked around anyway during normal use, this didn't affect my rating.
I had to turn the gain on my mixer up slightly higher than I expected to, but it was still well within a normal range.
I look forward to trying the Seismic Audio's other dynamic mic, the SA-M30 soon, and I hope that SA will continue releasing new models and types of microphones!
