(More customer reviews)I have a 67 lbs 88 key Keyboard. Under this weight this stand does not shake at all. Also the range of its height and width are perfect. the only problem it has is that if you want to use it in its highest adjustment it is going to start shaking like a X stand but in a normal sitting height it is as solid as rock. I strongly recommend this stand. if you are looking for a good bench as well, I recommend KT7800+ piano bench. With WS8550 piano stand and KT7800+ Piano bench I can play for hours without feeling uncomfortable.

(More customer reviews)The stand is good, but the company has been lazy about updating the specifications. The stand adjusts to 33" wide, no longer to 36". There is also a discrepancy as to how much weight it will support, either 375 pounds or 500 (both numbers are claimed). The stand now has a small, vertical support not shown in the picture, between the cross-bars, so perhaps the higher number is correct. They also did not bother to list the number of height adjustments (5) or how far apart they are (about 3"). The height adjustments could be improved -- although there are some guiding marks, it's not easy to tell when one is exactly in the right place (so that a hole is used); it does not suddenly feel "in the hole," and one might easily miss the right notch, which could be dangerous at higher weights (where it might suddenly slip).

(More customer reviews)Do not be seduced by the clever way this stand folds up like something out of the Transformers movie. The V-Stand fails the single most important test of any keyboard stand: it simply isn't solid. Your gear will bounce and wobble in a manner that will distract you from your performance. You'd think that all that metal would result in a stand that holds your gear perfectly still, but that is unfortunately not the case. Perhaps that is something you can get used to, or are willing to put up with in exchange for the quick setup & break-down time. But if you use the second tier, you can kiss that speed good-bye. You can't fold up the stand with the tier attached, in fact you can't even fold up the stand while leaving on the two brackets that the tier halves fit into. This is a really major oversight and could have easily been avoided with a little more design work. The two pieces of the tier do not fold up, so you've got to have something to store them in. One thing that WON'T work for that purpose is the V-Stand bag, which is sized to hold the folded-up stand, and nothing else. There are no pockets. There's certainly no room for the V-Stand music stand, which is difficult to adjust and requires even more space than the tier pieces, and no room for the mic stand. I've liked a lot of USS gear in the past, so it's hard to believe that they would do such a half-baked job on the V-Stand. Nevertheless, I'd say this is a product to avoid. The other stand from USS, the Apex, does not fold up quite as much as the V-Stand, but is a better choice in virtually every other way.

Powered Monitoring Sys.- Pair Review

(More customer reviews)First of all, these are very small. They are basically high quality computer speakers. I read about them in TapeOp magazine (if you don't have the book, get it: Tape Op: The Book About Creative Music Recording ) where they recommended them as good monitors for mixing. I find they lack some low end but definitely found that the mix I did on these translated well to other speakers. Considering that many people are listening to music on computer speakers or so so earplug headphones, this is a good reference if you're mixing music. As for just listening to music on the computer, these are excellent and many times better than the standard plastic box speakers that come with your computer. Well worth the price. My only concern is that the left speaker (which contains the amp) can really heat up if you leave it on a long time. Other than that, these are great speakers at a great price.
