This analog/digital converter certainly is not plug and play. It starts wtih the requirement that the user must adjust several settings on Audacity software (comes with it, but I already had it loaded on my pc).
I found that whenever this unit was plugged into my pc, it disabled all sound from my pc. Only after disengaging the unit, could I get the sound to come back on my pc.
Despite the fact that all recording levels were set properly, and all Audacity settings similarly set precisely as set forth in the directions, the sound quality was abysmal.
Run away from this project. It does not set up easily, and it does not work!
