(More customer reviews)I slid this behind my entertainment center and use it to switch off my A/V equipment and other stuff at night to stop the drain of vampire energy. I plugged it into an actual surge protector for a little extra protection (this has a 15 amp circuit breaker built in but is NOT a surge protector - no MOVs on this thing).
A master switch would be nice for those nights I want to turn off EVERYTHING (including modem, router, etc). But it does exactly what I want it to and I like the fact that it's called the "Eliminator" - it fits in very well as I tend to give my AV components similarly badass nicknames.
